France - Chambreteau, La Rochelle, Bordeaux to Biscarrosse

The Dune du Pilat is currently 109m high and stretches along the coast for quite a way as you can see. It has been officially recognised as one of the 'Grand Sites of France'. The entire 16700 hectares of dune and Forest behind are part of a protection zone now.
